Бифидобактериум инфантис

Bifidobacterium infantis UBBI-01

Bifidobacterium infantis is the main friendly intestinal bacteria in breast-fed infants. It is able to outgrow potentially pathogenic organisms and has a role in reducing enteric upsets in infants. Bifidobacterium infantis is a specific inhabitant of the large intestine (colon) where it can be found at high concentrations in infants. It is predominant in the feces of breast-fed infants. Like other bifidobacteria species, this organism produces acids that may retard the colonization of the colon by certain foreign or harmful bacteria. Research suggests that the presence of Bifidobacterium infantis in the colon helps reduce the incidence of infantile diarrhea.

Benefits of Bifidobacterium infantis

  • Helps ease symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, diarrhea & Inflammatory Bowel Disease
  • In babies and infants, establishes infant microflora, reduces death among very low birth weight infants and increases immunity
  • Produces lactic and acetic acids that lower the intestinal pH and further inhibit the undesirable bacteria
  • Assists in the absorption of calcium and other vitamins and minerals
  • Prevention of side-effects of oral antibiotic therapy
  • Enhances immune system
